Mit den Personenseiten ist wieder ein Punkt auf der Liste abgehakt worden. Die Ankündigung findet ihr hier.

Hallo, wer bereits einen Blick in die Roadmap der FMDB gewagt hat, wird festgestellt haben, dass Personenseiten dort ein wichtiges Thema sind. Deshalb freut es mich jetzt besonders ankündigen zu können, dass diese Seiten jetzt für jederman verfügbar sind. Eintrag für Jerry Goldsmith Für jede Person die in der Datenbank, die an einer Veröffentlichung in den Bereichen Komposition, Dirigat, Orchestration oder Produktion mitgewirkt hat, exisitiert solch eine Seite. Es ist nun ein besserer Überblick über das Werk einer Person möglich - natürlich nur, wenn es auch entsprechende Veröffentlichungen gibt. Zum Abschluss noch ein kleiner Hinweis: Wenn Veröffentlichungen fehlen, dann zögert bitte nicht, im FMDB-Forum ein neues Thema zu erstellen. Die Veröffentlichungen werden dann so schnell wie möglich nachgetragen.

Mir ging es zumindest auch so, als ich die Serie noch nicht kannte. Die Musik war nichtssagend ohne die Bilder, aber mittlerweile freue ich mich auf jede neue Folge und natürlich auf die Musik von McCreary.

Die Internation Film Music Critic Association (IFMCA) hat die Nominierungen für das Jahr 2008 bekannt gegeben: WALL*E, the Pixar movie about a lone robot left on Earth, garnered the most nominations for the fifth annual International Film Music Critics Association Awards for Excellence. The animated film was nominated for four awards: Film Score of the Year, Best Score for an Animated Film, Best Film Composition (for Define Dancing) and Composer of the Year for Thomas Newman (who also scored REVOLUTIONARY ROAD and TOWELHEAD in 2008). Also nominated for Film Score of the Year are the acclaimed THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON by Alexandre Desplat; the highest grossing movie of the year, THE DARK KNIGHT by James Newton Howard and Hans Zimmer; the Abu Ghraib prison documentary STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE by Danny Elfman and the first score by veteran film composer John Williams in three years, INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL. Danny Elfman received the most individual nominations this year with seven: Composer of the Year; Film Score of the Year and Best Documentary Score for STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE; Best Drama Score for MILK; Best Action/Adventure Score and Best Individual Cue for WANTED (Success Montage); and Best Fantasy/Science Fiction Score for HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY. Bear McCreary hat in seinem Blog bestätigt, dass er die Musik zum Pilotfilm des BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Vorgängers CAPRICA schreibt und teilweise sogar schon aufgenommen hat.

Mit der in der letzten Woche in den USA gestarteten 2. Hälfte der vierten und letzten Staffel von BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, wird es auch wieder neue Musik von Bear McCreary geben. Und wie schon bei den 3 Staffeln zuvor wird es eine CD geben, die die musikalischen Highlights der 4. Staffel auf 80 Minuten zusammenbringen soll. Genau an dieser Stelle bittet Bear McCreary um Hilfe: Im Moment gibt es schon weit über 170 Kommentare zu seinem Blogeintrag, die ihr hier nachlesen könnt.

Letztlich geht das auch nicht, da jeder, der in einem bestimmten Gebiet eine Expertise hat, sich an genau solchen Sachen mehr oder minder stark stört. Der Großteil der Zuschauer verfügt eben nicht über entsprechende Kenntnisse und nimmt es eben auf, wie es ihm präsentiert wird.

Der Vergleich bezog sich weniger auf die Personen sondern den Umstand, dass wie Realität in das "Kostüm" einer Unterhaltungsserie gepresst wird. Anders wäre es ja auch Quatsch.

Largo[/ame] angehört und so schlimm finde ich es nicht, sondern vielmehr interessant, wie sich die beiden Ebenen ergänzen. Ohrenbluten habe ich davon jedenfalls nicht bekommen. Genau wie in (fast) jedem Film, in dem es um Computer geht. Sei es Passworte "knacken", Dateien kopieren oder sonstige Griffe - gemein haben alle, dass sie fernab der Realität sind. Sieht man immer wieder schön bei den CSI-Inkarnationen Miami oder New York. Was die da alles machen - schöne Fantasie.

Bei aller Liebe, die Musik bei THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL war wirklich nicht toll, von daher kann ich die Abneigung schon ein wenig verstehen. Nichtsdesotrotz sollten wir die gesamte Musik abwarten. Immerhin war es nur ein Ausschnitt.
