Vielleicht weckt der Trailer auch nur falsche Vorstellungen. Es wäre ja nicht das erste Mal, dass ein Trailer einem einen völlig anderen Film suggeriert, als er eigentlich ist bzw. sein will. Der Film ist sicher Stones Art mit den Ereignissen des 11. September umzugehen, auch wenn er nicht direkt dort war, hat das vielleicht tiefe Einschnitte bei ihm hinterlassen.

Activision hat verkündet, dass Joel Goldsmith, Sohn von Jerry Goldsmith, den Score zum kommenden WW2-Spiel Call of Duty 3 schreiben wird, meldet Firing Squad. Goldsmith' Arbeit konnte man bisher vor allem bei der TV-Serie Stargate Atlantis hören.

soundtrack.net berichtet, dass am 3. Oktober diesen Jahres Danny Elfmans Konzertarbeit Serenada Shizophrana von Sony Classical auf DVD veröffentlicht wird. Sein Werk hatte letzten Februar in der Carnegie Hall Premiere und war Teil des IMAX Filmes Deep Sea 3D. Die Veröffentlichung im Oktober wird als SACD erscheinen.

Ob es die richtige Entscheidung gewesen ist, können wir überhaupt nicht entscheiden, denn ich bezweifel, dass einer von uns den Score von Howard Shore bereits gehört hat. Also sind solche Aussagen mit Vorsicht zu machen. Aber vielleicht erbarmt sich mal noch ein Label und bringt den Teil des Scores raus, der bereits fertig war, bevor er rejected wurde.

Einerseits hast du Recht, aber auf der anderen Seite lenkt das ja auch vom eigentlichen Thema ab. Da könnten wir ja gleich ein einzelnes Thema aufmachen wo alles rein kommt. Immerhin gibt es ja dann Links auf das entsprechend ausgelagerte Thema.

Also die normalen Ausgaben der LOTR-Scores sind nicht gerade schön anzusehen, aber die Banderolen um die Limited-Versionen dagegen schon. Auch bei Harry Potter ist das nicht wirklich schlecht. Die gezeichneten Motive von Drew Struzan sind klasse (bezogen auf Harry Potter and the Sorceres Stone).

Ja, auch wenn nicht alles aufgenommen wurde. Zumindest sollen wohl 75% fertig gewesen sein. Aber natürlich sind diese Angaben ohne Gewär.

So richtig können wir sowieso nicht urteilen, denn solange es keine Möglichkeit gibt den Score von Shore zu hören, sind jegliche Diskussionen sinnlos. Erst wenn die Möglichkeit gegeben ist, kann man solide darüber diskutieren.
