In answer to this petition, and proudly introducing yet another exciting new name to the film music community, MovieScore Media releases the Half Light score. It's the company's ninth online release since the launch of the label in January. Brett Rosenberg's score for Half Light is a dark and romantic orchestral score filled with beautiful themes that are contrasted by eerie suspense writing, colourfully orchestrated by Nicholas Dodd (Independence Day, Capote, Stargate) and performed by first rate London session players recorded in the magnificent Air Lyndhurst Studios. The film has been described as an Hitchcockian thriller with a supernatural twist, and Rosenberg's score has its Herrmann-esque moments and a lot of moody atmospheres that recalls some of Christopher Young's finest genre works. While this is not a horror movie per se - in fact part of the idea of the film is that you don't really know whether it is mystery, romance, something else, or everything - because I had the opportunity to write for a wonderful orchestra I decided I wanted to use quite a few avant-garde orchestral techniques ala Lutoslawski, Penderecki and Ligeti. For the melodic material we just wanted it so sound warm, to give a sense of warm family life, Brett Rosenberg commented in an interview on a fan page devoted to the film (http://www.half-lightmovie.com). Brett Rosenberg was born into a musical family. His father Ron is somewhat of a local legend as a piano player and arranger, having played for Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Nat 'King' Cole. Brett has always had a strong interest in composing for film, initially studying privately under the late Brian May (Mad Max), and later completing film scoring classes at UCLA. His first scoring assignment was in 1996, and since then has worked in all areas of composition for the moving image, from fun filled music for children's television, to documentary, short film, advertising, and feature film. Apart from his celebrated score to Half Light, he has composed for films such as Hotel de Love, Diana & Me and Josh Jarman. CURRENTLY PLAYING IN CINEMAS! Half Light premiered theatrically in France on May 31, in Spain on June 9, in Italy on June 16 and in the UK on June 23. It will open in Australia on July 20, and it has already been released on DVD in the USA and in Sweden among other countries. Bereits zum 6. Mal finden in diesem Jahr die World Soundtrack Awards in Ghent/Belgien statt.

Die Verfilmung von Patrick Süskinds Bestseller Das Parfum wird im Herbst in unsere Kinos kommen. Die Musik zum Tom Tykwer Film wurde von den Berliner Philharmonikern unter der Leitung von Sir Simon Rattle aufgenommen. Die Berliner Philharmoniker zählen zu den besten Symphonyorchestern der Welt und es ist eine Seltenheit das sie eine Filmmusik einspielen. Komponiert wurde die Musik von Tom Tykwer, Johnny Klimek und Reinhold Heil. Ob und wann eine CD veröffentlicht wird, steht noch nicht fest. Quelle: Film Music Radio

Interessanterweise weist auch der argentinischen Spieler die Vorwürfe zurück, denn er hat nichts von einem Schlag bemerkt. Außerdem standen die Schiedsrichter direkt daneben und die hätten das auf jeden Fall gesehen, von daher eine recht merkwürdige Entscheidung.

Laut Newseintrag bei freedb2.org ist der aktuelle Datenbestand dort vom 1. Juli 2006. Von daher sind die Daten zumindest auf diesem Server gerettet und bleiben es auch, wenn das Projekt dort weitergeführt wird.

Das ist jetzt aber keine Filmmusik.
