Ich finde es nur eigenartig, dass ausgerechnet Lukas Kendall anscheinend damit herauskommt. Denn ganz so KOSCHER ist er ja auch nicht. Wir hatten da irgendwo ein Thread schon über ihn! Es könnte ein bisschen Neid mit ihm Spiele, nach dem Motto: Robin hat veröffentlicht, worauf ich auch scharf war, gewesen sein! Solche Fälle hat es schon öfters gegeben.

Als ich damals die Coverabbildung sah, wunderte ich mich, da sie fast identisch mit dem BOOTLEG war. So, wie ich die beiden Statements verstehe, glaube ich nicht, dass Robin bewusst ein Bootleg veröffentlich hat. Wie sagte schon Herr von Bödefeldt: Trage einen Fall 3 Anwälten vor, und du wirst 5 verschiedene Antworten bekommen. Du wirst vielleicht lachen aber ich habe den Film nie gesehen, aber die CD-Veröffentlichung [box] von Craig hab' ich! Gerade weil Wayne selbst schon gesundheitlich angeschlagen war, kam er für mich als kranker und alternder Revolvermann [mit Brille um die Zeitung zu lesen!] glaubhaft rüber.

Ich kenne den Film >Wyatt Earp< nicht und die Filmmusik hab' ich mir mal vor 16 Jahren angehört und hat mich damals nicht gerade umgehauen. Der letzte Western der gedreht wurde, war nach meiner maßgeblichen Meinung John Waynes >The Shootist<. Danach kam nischt mehr.

Das gleiche gilt für mich wenn z. B. ein Film in Asien spielt. Ich bin nun wahrlich kein Goldsmith-Fan, aber bei Kanonenboot am Yangtse Kiang, Inchon, Tora3 ist es ihm doch einigermaßen gut gelungen. Bei den japanischen Komponisten schätze ich besonders Fumio Hayasaka [u. a. Die 7 Samurai; Rashomon], Shinichiro Ikebe [Kagemusha], Toru Takemitsu [u. a. Ran] und Masuru Satô [u. a. Sanjuro; Das Schloss im Spinnwebwald; Die verborgene Festung; Yojimbo]. Aber ich geb gerne zu: Es ist ein anderes Hören, da diese Musik für unsere Ohren etwas ungewöhnlich klingt. Und wenn die heutigen asiatischen Komponisten mehr zum symphonischen Stil greifen, so dürfen wir folgendes nicht vergessen: a) Es sind Auftragsarbeiten, wir kennen die Verträge nicht, und sie gehen uns ja auch nichts an, die zwischen dem jeweiligen Komponisten und den Produzenten geschlossen werden. Nicht jeder Komponist ist in der glücklichen Position, dass er seine musikalischen Ideen durchsetzen kann. c) Denkt an den Spruch: Wessen Brot ich ess, dessen Lied ich sing !

Whites The Once And Future King, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewes Camelot was one of the most highly anticipated shows imaginable. After all, their previous show had been one of the biggest Broadway success stories in history the huge smash hit My Fair Lady. And theyd had the big success of Gigi on the screen. Add to that a stunning cast of Richard Burton, Julie Andrews, Roddy McDowell, and Robert Goulet making his Broadway debut. Then Moss Hart as director, Oliver Smith for sets, costumes by Adrian (who died before the show went into rehearsals) and Tony Duquette, and with an advance sale that was the largest in musical theatre history, well, what could possibly go wrong? It feels quite different than its Broadway counterpart and includes The Jousts that wasnt on the original Broadway cast album. Harvey is a great King Arthur, and Larner is a wonderful Guenevere. Their performances are reason enough to cherish the London recording, but the whole thing has a vibrancy and sheen that is terrific, and that score one great song after another I think its safe to use the old saw that they dont write em like this anymore.
