Nur taucht die Frage auf: Wo liegen die Rechte des Läbels >Cloud Nine<? Ich habe übrigens eine italienische CD, die trotz Verfärbung, immer noch einwandfrei spielt!!!

Es geht um die CD Great Epic Film Scores [SoundtrackCollector: Soundtrack details: Great Epic Film Scores] des Labels Cloud Nine! Ich habe von diesem Titel seit 16 Jahren 2 Exemplare. Nach vielen Jahre habe ich mir gerade mal wieder ein Exemplar angehört und mir fiel gerade, zum erstenmal, auf, dass ab Track 15 Nebengeräusche zu hören sind! Für mich klingt es wie bei selbstgebrannten CDs, die nach einiger Zeit "ihren Geist aufgeben". Habt Ihr die gleiche Erfahrung gemacht?

Composed by: Cyril Mockridge, David Shire, Herbert Stothart, Harry Sukman View CD Page at FSM Site (More Details) FSM continues its informal annual tradition of releasing a 3CD set of classic western film scores with a second volume of westerns from the historical M-G-M film library: Northwest Passage (Book IRogers Rangers) is the 1940 adventure score by Herbert Stothart, M-G-Ms premier composer in the 1930s and 40s, presented in nearly complete form from the monaural optical film masters, with a few otherwise lost cues added from the films music-and-effects track. Many Rivers to Cross (1955) is a comedy western score by Cyril J. Mockridge, conducted by no less than Miklós Rózsa, with a song (The Berry Tree) by M-G-M songwriter and executive Saul Chaplin. This score survives in glorious three-track stereo from the original 35mm magnetic film. A Thunder of Drums (1961) is a cavalry adventure score by Harry Sukman, also presented in true stereo. Dominated by grim and martial passages, the music also features romantic strains anticipating Sukmans scores for TVs Dr. Kildare. At the end of disc 3 is a television rarity: David Shires 1974 TV movie score for The Godchild (a John Badham-directed adaptation of Three Godfathers, a western story filmed several times earlier). It is a brief and spare work demonstrating the composers gift for simplicity and melodypresented in excellent stereo sound. The film titles for this album were selected in large part from listener responses to our last westerns collection. So keep listening, and keep suggesting titles!
