Immer her mit der CD. Ich bin mal gespannt, ob sie diesmal auch bei Colosseum zu beziehen ist, wie es bei den letzten Lakeshore Veröffentlichungen der Fall war.

Hier einmal ein Statement von Jemanden, der bei den Session zu 3:10 To Yuma dabei war: "Hi, Session that I went to was on monday 11th june at abbey road london. the orchestra was a small string ensemble, with trumpet and also guitar, but other music had been recorded in LA, the movie looks great full of action, and the score i personaly think is very good, I know a few people were curious about the approach that Mr Beltrami would take, i will try and describe it as best I can, in the first part of the session the cues were mainly down beat sort of suspence filled cues, but after the break it livened up a hell of a lot, one cue in particular stood out for me there is a stage coach robbery/attack sequence, the score is driving and savage sounding, a almost fuzzy sounding guitar stood out and also the use of a solo trumpet was very effective, there was also some amazing guitar player from the British soloist Mitch, this cue as many of the others had a sort of a hook to it, you know guys it is probably the track on the album that will be played the most, it builds and builds its just the best,dare I say it had a slight spaghetti western sound to it in places, but no overly Morricone, more of a sound that we associate with the genre as a whole, but the composer added more by the use of dramatic and driving strings, there are also so less robust/action cues and a particulary melodic and heart rending theme which plays over the death of one of the characters, I found this composition quite mesmerizing, let me say here and now, anyone who has ever said that Mr beltrami has never written a theme, well take another listen to his scores, Hellboy, the faculty, etc etc and oh yeah dont forget the SCREAM trilogy. because they contain some great material, and when you hear 3 10 to yuma you will be blown away, The composer and his team Buck and John were realy friendly and welcoming. and the musicians were excellent, I enjoyed the session and felt privelaged to attend. . "

Finde ich eigentlich nicht, da The Omen alles andere als konventionell war.

Mal schauen, ob wir's mal hinbekommen

Na ja, der Musikschnitt im Film soll ja sehr anders sein als die CD. Viele Stücke sind im Film gar nicht mehr zu finden, da die Musik zu einem anderen Schnitt eingespielt wurde als der, der jetzt in die Kinos kommt. Scheint also eine Situation wie bei xXx: The Next Level zu sein. Ansonsten stimme ich BigMacGyver in Bezug auf die Musik zu. Solide Arbeit in Beltramis Filmography, aber mehr leider nicht. Die CD ist mit 63 Minuten zu lang und dadurch wird sie schnell redundant, so dass der Score streng genommen in bester Die Hard/Kamen-Tradition steht, und auch kein richtiges Thema besitzt. Kamen Motiv ist zwar sehr geschickt verarbeitet, aber halt kein Thema zum Mitsummen. Die Action ist wie von Beltrami gewohnt gut, aber in der Gesamtheit keine große Weiterentwicklung wie es noch z.B. bei xXx² oder UW2 der Fall war. 3/5 "Yippee Ki Yay, Motherf*****"-s

Ach na ja, damit mußte man bis vor einem Jahr in Spanien durchgehend leben. Also keine Panik

Auf meiner Seite (Interview & Articles --> Events) kannst du einige Fotos aus dem letzten Jahr mit Chris anschauen. Also letztes Jahr waren die Masterclasses alle sehr unterschiedlich. Die mit Trevor Jones bestand aus Fragen des Interviewers und denen der anwesenden Leute. Gleiches galt für Dario Marianelli, Roque Banós, Hans Zimmer & HGW. Chris hat mehr eine Art "Vorlesung", wie man sie sich in dieser Art nicht besser wünschen kann gemacht. So wie die Leute damals reagiert haben hat er allen Anderen die Show gestohlen.

Negativ Bin, wie schon das letzte Jahr dort und mache die Masterclass mit Chris Young.

Na immerhin macht er mal wieder was Größeres.

Der Kauf lohnt sich, du wirst mit Sicherheit nicht enttäuscht werden.

Bei mir ist der Eindruck ja auch noch sehr frisch, da ich den Film erst vor 1 Woche wieder gesehen habe. Das Orchester setzt, wie es Horner auch im Making of erwähnt erst in den letzten 10 Minuten ein.

Nein, ich hab den Score von iTunes und auf CD gebrannt. Kommt also weder aus Neuseeland, noch ist es ein Rezi-Exemplar.

Von einer CD-Veröffentlichung gehe ich auch aus. Nur wollte ich sagen, dass Nichts sicher ist.

Wenn die Musik zu HOSTEL: PART II wird wie die zum ersten Teil, dann ist die CD gekauft.

Also als reine Filmmusik bekommt die Musik von mir 6/6 Punkten, da sie den Film perfekt unterstützt und dafür wurde die Musik schließlich konzipiert. Geht man einen Schritt weiter und betrachtet die Tauglichkeit der Musik für die CD, also als Höralbum, dann gebe ich dir Recht und verteile 2/6 Punkten. Somit ist es für mich eines der besten Arbeiten von Horner für einen Film, nur eignet sie sich nicht für eine CD-Veröffentlichung in dem Umfang, wie sie nun einmal seit Jahren vorliegt. Ähnliches gilt auch für andere Arbeiten von Horner wie z.B. House Of Sand And Fog und zuletzt Apocalypto.
