In many ways a precursor to the recent Battlestar Galactica, this sci fi show follows a group of Space Aces as they wage a war against an alien enemy. Ms. Walker's spectacular orchestral score was the highlight of the cult television series. Art Director Mark Banning captures the majesty and whimsy of the film throughout the cd packaging. PLEASE NOTE: Content is the same as previous FSM release, but the damaged track has been fixed.

Die größeren tv box sets waren nie schnelle seller. Ich kaufe mir space auch nicht sofort sondern warte noch ab bis ich einen überblick über das jahresendangebot der labels habe.

Ist ja lustig, denn in der Pressemitteilung, die MV Gerhard gerade bei FSM gepostet hat, steht der 11. November als Versanddatum. Merkwürdig...

Irgendwie ist dieses Release an mir vorbeigezogen. Eigentlich komplett unmöglich, denn ich liebe diese Serie über alles. Was war ich damals geschockt, als ich erfuhr, dass es keine zweite Staffel geben würde. Und das bei dem gemeinen Ende der ersten Staffel!!!

Glen Morgan und James Wong hatten wohl noch Hoffung auf eine Vortsetzung, aber daszu kam es ja nicht mehr. Die Serie war ihrer Zeit weit voraus und ich bin mir sicher, dass die Show ind der heutigen Zeit der großen US-Kabelsender eine wesentlich bessere Chance gehabt hätte, die vollen fünf Staffeln zu erreichen. So viele waren wohl geplant.

Für mich ist die Absetzung der Serie bis heut eine der größten Fehlentscheidungen der US-Fernsehgeschichte ...

Um so schöner ist es, dass jetzt endlich die grandiose Musik von Shirley Walker veröffentlicht wird. Ein 3CD Set. Wer hätte das zu hoffen gewagt. Auch wenn das Orchester sehr "klein" gehalten ist, wenn ich das Haupthema höre, dann krieg ich Ganterpelle ...

Hab das Teil heute bestellt und ich bion froh, dass es noch zu haben ist.
