Jamie Foxx bald nicht nur als US-Präsident, sondern auch als Electro?

Last we heard, Marc Webb was set to direct The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for Sony and Columbia, with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone returning as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy, and Shailene Woodley set to play a young Mary Jane Watson.

And at that time, Electro was said to be the most likely villain for the film. (“Most likely” being deceptive wording, since the studio has a script from Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, and Jeff Pinkner, with early work from James Vanderbilt, so there’s no doubt who the villain is.)

Now Electro is confirmed, and Jamie Foxx is in talks to play him.

Variety reports the news, and while the studio hasn’t confirmed Foxx’s role, other sources have told the trade that the actor would be Electro. More as we get it. Foxx himself said,

The mysterious, and seemingly half-baked post-credits scene in The Amazing Spider-Man featured a nameless figure (played by Michael Massee) who appeared before Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans) in his prison cell. Thanks to the fact that an electrical discharge was part of the effects in the scene, many assumed that announced Electro — a classic Spidey villain, having first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #9, in 1964 — as the baddie of the sequel. But Foxx is clearly not who was in the cell, adding to the notion that the post-credit scene was just kinda cobbled together.

Electro is the alter-ego of Maxwell Dillon, a lineman who was transformed into a mutated electrical capacitor by a freak lightning strike. Dillon realized that he could fire electrical blasts and manipulate electricity in other ways, and became a professional criminal. While the classic version of the character, designed by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, featured green tights with yellow accents and a pretty goofy mask, the Ultimate Spider-Man version is a little more sleek, without the exaggerated mask, and we can probably expect that to be more of a visual inspiration for this version of the character than anything else.

Dem wiedersprach Produzent Kevin Feige nun in einem Interview mit The West Australian: "Es ist kein ernster Film, aber wir gehen tiefer bei der Erforschung von Tonys Seele. Der Trick ist, einfach einen großartigen Film zu machen. [...]. Was ihr in 'Iron Man 3' sehen werdet, sind interessante neue Richtungen, die wir einschlagen."

Regisseur Shane Black erklärte im Interview weiter: "Wir zielen nicht notgedrungen auf etwas Größeres ab. Wir zielen auf etwas Anderes, Frisches und Neues. Es geht um dieses Wie-haben-die-das-jetzt-bloß-gemacht-Gefühl. Wir wollen so nah wie möglich an dieses Gefühl beim Zuschauen herankommen."

Wie gesagt: Ich fand die (ernste) Comicvorlage von Warren Ellis schon sehr gelungen. Das gemischt mit den Black-eigenen Dialogen könnte echt was Schönes werden.

Eine wirklich erfreuliche Nachricht für den kommenden X-Men Film

Comic fans who know the story behind DOFP probably figured we would be getting a bit of crossover between the continuity established in Singer's original movies, and the - at least partially - rebooted one of Mathew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class. But now the director has revealed that the story will indeed focus on past and future/young and old versions of our Mutant pals, and as well as confirming returning First Class cast members, officially welcomed Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier) and Ian McKellen (Magneto) to his DOFP cast..

I think my next time as Nick Fury is in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Because I’m not in Iron Man 3. None of the Avengers are in Iron Man 3. It’s a standalone Iron Man movie.” The solo movie for Jackson's S.H.I.E.L.D. Director role was also brought up during the interview, but the actor says that its development is only a rumor, as of now.

Wolverine soll nun auch im neuen X-Men Teil auftauchen..

Following yesterday's announcement that Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen are reprising their ‘Professor Charles Xavier’ & ‘Magneto’ roles respectively, it seems X-Men: Days of Future Past will see another actor's return from the original X-Men trilogy. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hugh Jackman is in negotiations to reprise his ‘Wolverine’ role in the Bryan Singer-directed sequel.

This expected news comes only a week after Hugh Jackman officially wrapped production on the James Mangold-directed solo venture for the mutant, The Wolverine, which is due out in theaters July 26, 2013. Anyhow, Jackman joins Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Jason Flemyng and Ian McKellen with Patrick Stewart. And with more cast additions to be announced, X-Men: Days of Future Past reportedly commences filming in Spring next year. And Bryan Singer directs the time travel adaptation into theaters on July, 18 2014.

Interessante Schauspielerwahl für Harry Osborn in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2".

Dane DeHaan has officially been confirmed as the new Harry Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, with the studio clearly opting for the “brooding outsider” approach to the character.

DeHaan was initially linked to the role before reports emerged claiming that Sony were looking for a more athletic, all-American take on the character. However, it seems that they’ve reverted to their first vision.

Norman Osborn has been a peripheral figure at this stage in proceedings, but depending on how Osborn Sr's story arc plays out, we could well see Harry become a villain, as was the case in Sam Raimi’s trilogy. Casting the intense DeHaan would certainly allow for that contingency.

“Dane is an exciting and extraordinary young actor and he is a fantastic addition to our cast,” said director Marc Webb, before DeHaan tweeted that, “to say I’m excited is an understatement.”

Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx and Shailene Woodley have also been officially confirmed as Electro and Mary-Jane Watson respectively. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will open in the UK on 18 April 2014.

Bryan Singer has been busy rounding up his old collaborators forX-Men: Days Of Future Past, with Hugh Jackman the latest to confirm a reappearance after Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen were revealed to be returning.

Jackman has been speaking about his involvement in the forthcoming film, and from the sounds of it, he’ll have a bit more to do than he did in his (admittedly brilliant) cameo in X-Men: First Class.

“I did a three-hour, three-word cameo in the last one. It literally took me three hours," he said. "I have been talking to Bryan Singer about doing something in this. There will be more claws in this.”

The new film will feature a narrative that hops between the present and the future, with the young Xavier and his charges attempting to avert a timeline in which mutants are consigned to internment camps policed by the robotic Sentinels. Hence the scope for the reappearance of some of the original cast.

Directed by Singer and co-starring Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, X-Men: Days Of Future Past will open in the UK on 18 July 2014.

Der "Guardians"-Streifen ist mir aber auch suspekt. Ich kenne das Team nicht, das riecht aber irgendwie nach so einem Flop wie die grüne Latüchte. Wenn's ein Erfolg wird, habe ich natürlich nichts gesagt...

Natürlich droht eine Übersättigung. Aber danach sieht es ja momentan bei weitem nicht aus. Und selbst wenn die neuen Filme floppen sollten, gibt es noch die etablierten Helden, die überleben werden. War bei Batman bislang ja auch so.

Ich mag diese Superhelden und ihre Filme, vor allem die von Marvel, von denen es ja seit dem Spinnenviehmann 2002 regelmäßig neues gibt. Davor gabs halt schon seit Ende der 70er diesen komischen fliegenden Typen mit rotem Cape (Superman), seit Ende der 80er eben den Kerl, der sich für eine Fledermaus hält und irgendwann dazwischen (1994) "The Shadow". 

Also behaupte ich mal, dass Superhelden spätestens seit dem Superman-Film von 1978 regelmäßig im Kino auftauchen (im TV evtl. schon länger; wenn ich da nur an die Batman-Serie von 1966 denke, mit dem tollen Batmobile.....)

Gut, auch wenn sie nun fast etwas inflationär werden, durch den Erfolg der "Avengers". Aber ich freu mich drauf und bin gespannt, was Marvel uns da noch schönes bringt .

Nein vom Erfolg her natürlich nicht, geht jetzt eher um das persönliche Empfinden der Übersättigung. Es laufen meiner Meinung nach auch zu viele Fortsetzungen in den Kinos, anstatt Neuem, aber das ist ja auch noch erfolgreich.
