Das "Notre Dame de Paris" Ballet lief Ende 1998 mal im Fernsehen; da habe ich mir eine CDR von erstellt (74 Min)

Damals spielte das Opera National de Paris Orchester unter der Leitung von David Garforth

Müsste ich mal wieder reinhören

A certain American distributor jumped the gun with shipping NOTRE DAME... it was supposed to come out on July 2nd, especially as I have been on vacation for the past week ....wonderful trip along the canals of England in a narrow boat ... not easy to post CDs however from there...then I have 24 hours to get home and then jet off to Malaga for the Classic Film Music concert I am sponsoring in Cordoba on June 30th. That concert was supposed to being the launch of the NOTRE DAME CD !!! Slightly ruined now....

Die CD kam heute an und lief schon zweimal durch. Okay, ich bin Jarre-Junkie. Schuldig. Aber: toller Sampler zum Kennenlernen von Jarre. Und das Album hört mit der für Giubelio (Vatikan-Jubiläum) arrangierten Schlußmusik aus Solar Crisis (hierzulande Starfire) auf. Orff Einfluss (Carmina Burana) noch und nöcher, aber Gänsehaut bekomme ich bei diesem Chor und Orchestereinsatz immer wieder!
