Im iTunes Store (zumindest den US-amerikanischen sowie Kanadischen) kann man ein leicht erweitertes Album zu JURASSIC PARK anlässlich des 20. Jubiläums kaufen:

 

 

Die 4 Tracks wurden direkt ans Ende des Albums gepackt:

Ob und wann das Album auch im deutschen iTunes Store erhältlich sein wird, ist nicht bekannt.

Interessanter fänd ich, ob der Klang verbessert wurde. Mir soll von JP auf ewig meine 20-minütige Auswahl reichen, die allerdings inzwischen klanglich auch etwas Moos angesetzt hat. Kurioserweise hör ich sowas in den iTunes-Clips nie richtig raus.

Zumindest am Rechner mit den AKG's. Ich würde spontan sagen, die Pauken bei T-REX-Rescue dröhnen schon deutlich mehr im Remaster - in den ruhigeren Sachen hör ick nüscht.

The OST contained 1:03:21 of film cues (+ the concert arrangement [track 2] + one entirely repeated track [track 16 is a repeat of the end of track 7])

The iTunes release adds 11:03 minutes of film cues (its 7 cues spread over 4 tracks), bringing the total to 1:14:24.

There is only 2:40 of music still unreleased:

Ich habe ja noch die leise Hoffnung, dass sich Intrada im Rahmen ihrer "100 Jahre Universal"-Serie dieses Titels annimmt.

Was ist denn im digitalen Booklet so drinnen? Gibt's Liner Notes und wie viele Seiten hat es?

 

Das Booklet wäre - neben den 4 Tracks natürlich - der Hauptgrund für mich, das digitale komplette Album nochmal zu kaufen, obwohl ich die CD von 1993 schon besitze. (Zum Glück sind CDs keine Verschleißteile...).

Universal Music Enterprises released Jurassic Park: 20th Anniversary digitally on March 26, 2013, which includes legendary composer John Williams' newly remastered music from the film, as well as four bonus tracks.

The four bonus tracks featured on the remastered Jurassic Park album were chosen by Williams in conjunction with his music editor, Ramiro Belgardt. Williams and Belgradt went back through all of the master tapes of the film to spot cues that were not released on the original album. These tracks have never before been commercially released.

Universal Pictures will release Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park in 3D on April 5, 2013. With his remastering of the film into a state-of-the-art 3D format, Spielberg introduces the three-time Academy Award-winning blockbuster to a new generation of moviegoers and allows longtime fans to experience the world he envisioned in a way that was unimaginable during the film's original release.

 

Starring Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Samuel L. Jackson and Richard Attenborough, the film based on the novel by Michael Crichton is produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Gerald R. Molen. Jurassic Park is just one of the soundtracks from Williams' historic, 40-year collaboration with Steven Spielberg, during which he's composed the music for all but one of the director's feature films.

A legend among movie composers, Williams has written some of the best-known scores in film history in a career that began more than five decades ago. His work includes the music for all of the Star Wars and Indiana Jones films, the first three Harry Potter films, Jaws, Superman, E.T. Ok, wir haben also hier ein "geofucked Release" das nur über 2 (3) Wege für uns hier zu haben sein wird:

1. Kauf über Umwege im US iTunes Store -> Label bekommt Geld
2. Kauf im deutschen iTunes Store, sobald es verfügbar ist -> Label bekommt Geld
3. Beschaffen über andere Kanäle -> Label bekommt kein Geld

Dazu kommt noch die Tatsache, dass 2 Tracks einen Defekt aufweisen und man sich jetzt an Apple wenden muss für Ersatz oder Erstattung des Geldes.
