Ramin Djawadi has been tapped to score the upcoming sci-fi action thriller All You Need Is Kill. The film is directed by Doug Liman and stars Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton, Kick Gurry, Dragomir Mrsic, Charlotte Riley, Jonas Armstrong and Franz Drameh. The movie based on the novel All You Need Is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka is set in the near future when an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault and follows an officer who finds himself reliving his last day over and over after being killed. D.W. Harper, Jez Butterworth & John-Henry Butterworth (Fair Game) and Christopher McQuarrie (Jack Reacher, The Usual Suspects) have adapted the material for the screen. Erwin Stoff (Constantine, Water for Elephants), Tom Lassally (Stay), Jason Hoffs, Gregory Jacobs (Magic Mike, Contagion) and Jeffrey Silver (TRON: Legacy, 300) are producing the Village Roadshow Pictures production. Liman’s previous four features The Bourne Identity, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Jumper and Fair Game were scored by John Powell. All You Need Is Kill is set to be released on June 6, 2014 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
