La-La Land Records, Warner Bros. and WEA celebrate Warner Bros.’ 90th Anniversary with the LETHAL WEAPON SOUNDTRACK COLLECTION, an 8-CD BOX SET featuring Michael Kamen, Eric Clapton, and David Sanborn’s iconic film scores from all four LETHAL WEAPON films. Each LETHAL WEAPON score is contained in its own 2-CD jewel case, and all four scores, along with a 40-Page booklet, are housed in an attractive slip case.

Finally, some of the greatest action film music ever composed -- from the most celebrated cop-action saga of all time -- is presented here in a deluxe presentation worthy of their legacy. The scores to LETHAL WEAPON 1-3 have been greatly expanded beyond their original soundtrack album presentations (the original soundtrack assemblies are remastered and presented as well.) and the score from LETHAL WEAPON 4 makes its world premiere with this set. A bounty of previously unreleased score music is featured here, literally hours worth, along with bonus score tracks and knockout songs from the likes of Sting, Elton John, George Harrison, The Beach Boys and more – not to mention the Bobby Helms rendition of “Jingle Bell Rock,” which opens the original LETHAL WEAPON!

Legendary composer Dimitri Tiomkin’s (HIGH NOON, 55 DAYS AT PEKING, THE FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE) classic western score finally makes its film version debut here, mastered from Paramount Pictures vault elements. The film score is presented in mono, with a stable of special bonus tracks, including source music tracks, demos and select stereo tracks. Also featured are the flim’s opening, closing and act break versions of “Gunfight at the O.K. Corral,” performed by the one-and-only Frankie Laine. Produced by Neil S. The DEFIANCE Soundtrack Deluxe Edition features two CDs, one containing 22 tracks of original score, songs and cover songs as heard in the first season of DEFIANCE, and the other 22 tracks of original score from the companion MMO game. "Scoring a project like DEFIANCE is a rare situation for a composer," said composer Bear McCreary. "I was asked to help bring the alien cultures to life by developing a distinct musical heritage for each. I fashioned Votan instrumentation and lyrics into a variety of popular songs and ceremonial pieces. I wrote pieces for street musicians that float through open-air marketplaces. I produced alien classical music, jingles, jazz, rock-anthems and torch songs. The musical world of DEFIANCE is as diverse as the cultures it represents. For the first time on CD, this Deluxe Edition brings it together in one place."

Über den Ottman freue ich mich eigentlich sehr, auch wenn ich da auf dem offiziellen Album gar nicht so viel vermisst habe. Wenn LaLaLand scheinbar so einen Narren an dem gefressen hat (siehe z.B. auch "X-Men United") hätten sie ja auch eine richtige CD für "Jack the Giant Slayer" übernehmen können.

Na normalerweise versendet er ja über 100€ versandkostenfrei und gerade hat er ja den Service, dass es immer versandkostenfrei ist ohne Mindestbestellwert. Da ja aber die Box sehr wahrscheinlich auf Kosten für über 100€ Beitrag kommt, hat man sozusagen nichts von der Aktion. Das egalisiert sich ja dann.

...okay, so habe ich das nicht betrachtet. Ich habe schon die ganze Zeit in der Promotion von LaLaLand gesucht, ob die aus lauter Gütigkeit zur Weihnachtszeit versandkostenfreien Service anbieten würden. Deswegen war ich etwas irritiert!

Fast. Immerhin hatte Gerhard vor Wochen noch gesagt, dass dieses Jahr bei LaLaLand definitiv noch ein Tiomkin kommt. Ich wäre da auch beim Raten in Richtung Giant tendiert, aber die Nachricht mit OK Corral jetzt ist fantastisch!

Ein Glück, dass hier auch wie zuletzt bei True Grit die Bänder überlebt haben!
