Damit ist John Ottman wieder mit Shane Black vereint, für den er ja schon den grandiosen KISS KISS BANG BANG vertont hat.

 

John Ottman and David Buckley are set to score the upcoming detective thriller The Nice Guys. The film is directed by Shane Black (Iron Man 3, screenwriter of Lethal Weapon) and stars Russell Crowe, Ryan Gosling, Matt Bomer, Kim Basinger, Angourie Rice, Beau Knapp, Keith David and Margaret Qualley. The movie is set in 1970s Los Angeles and follows a down-on-his-luck private eye and a hired leg-breaker who must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star. Black also co-wrote the script with Anthony Bagarozzi. Joel Silver (The Matrix, Die Hard, V for Vendetta, Sherlock Holmes) is producing the project through his Silver Pictures company. Ottman has previously scored Black’s directorial debut Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. He also scored numerous features produced by Silver, including Unknown, Non-Stop, Gothika, The Losers and House of Wax. The Nice Guys will be released on May 20, 2016 by Warner Bros. Pictures.

As previously reported, Ottman’s upcoming projects also include Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse. Buckley continues to score CBS’ The Good Wife and also has the TNT original series Proof coming up.

jaujau, schade dass sich Black bei IRON MAN 3 nicht durchsetzen/ringen konnte Ottman zu nehmen, aber am Ende hätte er eh keine Zeit gehabt... besser so, da war dann niemand nachtragend. Ganz allein schafft es John jetzt leider auch nicht, da er schon im Schneideraum zu X6 sitzt... denke mal er hat jetzt in erster Linie die Themen und den musikalischen Stil festgelegt und den Rest macht Buckley...

cooles grooviges Theme geworden, 70er Funk, Twang und grosses Orchester :-) wird nen Fun score... Film sieht ja auch sehr lustig aus...

 

Score wird wohl sogar auf CD erscheinen, nich nur download... mal eruieren...

interessant ist, dass buckley, der ja aus der harry gregson-williams ecke kommt, auch mit nicht "rcp komponisten" wie elfman und ottman arbeitet. find ich gut.

Lakeshore Records will release a score album for Shane Black’s action comedy The Nice Guys. The album features the film’s original music composed by John Ottman (X2, X-Men: Days of Future Past & Apocalypse, The Usual Suspects, The Fantastic Four, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) and David Buckley (Jason Bourne, The Good Wife, The Forbidden Kingdom). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 27, 2016 and physically on June 24. As previously reported, the label is also releasing a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie.
