FILM MUSIC TREASURES ANNOUNCES BRUCE BROUGHTON PROMO EXTRAVAGANZA

March 21, 2006 – Film Music Treasures is pleased to announce what is sure to be a treat for fans of composer Bruce Broughton.

Though a special arrangement with the composer, Film Music Treasures has acquired 50 copies of Broughton’s rare "Baby’s Day Out" promo CD and is giving them away with every store purchase while supplies last.

"Baby’s Day Out" is a pressed CD from the 20th Century Fox music department that saw very limited distribution within the industry following the 1994 release of the film but was never made available to fans – until now.

The disc features 38 minutes of Broughton’s playful yet poignant score and comes sealed in its original cardboard slipcase. The CD was one of the most sought-after promos of the 1990s, and was valued at $125 in Robert L. Smith’s 1999 "U.S. Soundtracks on CD."

So here's the deal: Customers who buy any CD, no matter the price, will receive a free copy of "Baby's Day Out," while supplies last.

But that's not all.

Purchases of at least $30 also will receive a free, sealed copy of Broughton's "Jeremiah" promo featuring 47 minutes of his music from the 1998 telefilm.

All orders of $100 or more also will receive Broughton's 5-CD promo set he pressed in 1999 featuring a wide array of his best work through the years. The set includes:

"The Lighter Side"

"Sounds Exciting"

Das heißt also: wie bei den anderen "Lagerfunden" (Omega Man, Goldsmith-Box) der letzten Zeit werden die dann auch wieder zu Mondpreisen bei Ebay auftauchen - und verkauft werden. Für die Baby's Day Out-Promo habe ich so 1996/1997 alleine $125 bezahlt - und da war der Dollar noch was wert...

Ein sehr gutes Angebot. Wer nur lange genug wartet...

Jason Foster, der den Laden betreibt, kann ich als zuverlässigen und ehrlichen Händler allen bestens empfehlen.

Ich habe bei ihm im letzten Sommer vier CDs gekauft, als diese nach über sechs Wochen immer noch nicht da waren, hat er mir das Geld umstandslos zurückerstattet (war kein Pappenstiel). Rund zwei Wochen danach kam die Ware (etwas ramponiert zwar, aber zum Glück nicht ernstlich) doch noch an, und ich schickte ihm das Geld nochmals.

Schauen wir mal, wie lange es dauert, bis Young Sherlock Holmes 'gratis' zu haben ist.

cds sind ohne probleme durch den zoll gekommen, baby.. jeremiah und die 5 cd broughton promos und die, die man dafür eigentlich kaufen mußte. wenn auch auf 2 pakete aufgeteilt. "sicher ist sicher"

frage an alle, die die baby promo auch haben, war sie in einer richtigen cd hülle oder in einem einfachen pappschuber ? die ich jetzt bekommen habe, war nur im schuber.

Die Baby's Day Out war damals nur im Pappschuber. Ist schon so richtig.

Ich habe BABY'S DAY OUT und JEREMIAH letzte Woche erhalten. Bin allerdings nicht in Exstase verfallen ob der Musik. JEREMIAH hat Broughton offenbar nicht recht zu inspirieren vermocht.
