Zu den Rozsa gerüchten sage ich nur zwei Dinge:

Der neuste Stand:

On examining all of Rozsa's original sketches for the forthcoming Tadlow Music recording I have found all the cues (some 52 minutes)from the existing print of the film (minus a few pages here and there) plus sketches of 4 cues composed for the deleted "Upside Down Room" sequences...as well as a few "alternate versions" namely 3 different versions of the "Scottish Castles bicyle" scene. So, if all goes well, it looks like I have about 68 minutes of music to record which consists of everything that exists by Rozsa.

Nic Raine will be reconstructing the original orchestrations...as he is the best person qualified having worked with Rozsa and Chris Palmer on EYE OF THE NEEDLE and TIME AFTER TIME

Im FSM-Forum hat sich Tadlow zu den Kosten des Projekts geäußert. Finde ich nicht uninteressant:

Pre-Production

About $12,000 Score Reconstruction

About $2000 Music Copying

Recording:

About $23,000 for Orchestra & Conductor

About $4000 for studio, enginer, pro tools etc..

Post-Production:

About $3000 doe mixing, editing, mastering

So (not including airfares to Prague, hotel etc.., and artwork and manufacture of CDs plus mechanical royalty payments..)

a total of around $44,000

As each total release is limited to 3000 units with a average profit (after manufacture costs, royalties, distribution fee etc..) of $8 per unit, if I sell all 3000 then my income is $24,000 against an outlay of $44,000....so I make a loss of $20,000

NOW I KNOW WHY I NEVER MAKE ANY MONEY....maybe I need a really creative accountant?

Wobei "Archival Edition" wirklich zutrifft. Das Tadlow-Album habe ich mir glücklicherweise noch kurz vor seiner Abmeldung sichern können (ist ja immer das Blöde, dass man solche scheinbar auf ewig verfügbaren Ausgaben stets auf die lange Bank schiebt). Ich empfehle zur Tadlow-Ausgabe zu greifen sofern man kein Komplettist ist.

wie ist eigentlich der aktuelle stand was neue tadlow filmmusikprojekte angeht, wirds noch weitere geben oder ist jetzt nach "ben hur" endgültig sense?
