So, nachdem ich mit meiner Zeitalter-Einteilung schon ein wenig Staub aufgewirbelt habe, wird jetzt noch ein bißchen weitergewirbelt...

Es folgen meine höchstpersönlichen Oscar-Gewinner für die Jahre 1933 bis 2007. ACHTUNG: das ganze Spiel hat seine eigenen Regeln (=meine), d.h. es ist so ziemlich jeder Score nominierbar, auch Sachen wie Yared's Troy oder "adapted scores". Von 1993 bis 2005 gibt's auch noch die bekannte Einteilung in "Dramatic Score" und "Comedy/Romance/Animated/Musical Score", wobei in die letztere oft die Scores kommen, die in der ersten keinen Platz mehr hatten. Es handelt sich sehr stark um eine persönliche Favoritenliste denn eine tatsächliche Bestenliste; allerdings denke/hoffe ich, daß meine Nominierungen und letztendlichen Gewinner besser sind als die der Academy. Daher taucht bei mir der Name Gustavo Santaolalla auch nirgends auf.

Doch leider muss ich aus chronologischer Sicht zwei Vetos einlegen:

Die Jahreszahl hierfür stimmt nicht, der Film erschien bereits zwei Jahre früher, also 1944.

1963

How the West was won (Alfred Newman / Ken Darby)

Und dieser bekannte Westernklassiker erblickte schon 1962 das Licht der Welt.

Ansonsten habe ich nicht alles kontrolliert - ist auch keinesfalls meine Intention. Die beiden Filmen sind mir nur gerade arg ins Auge gestochen.

Also ich bin gerade auf die Homepage der Academy Awards gegangen und habe das Datenbankarchiv durchforstet. Dort ist How the West Was Won in 1963 (als Oscarverleihung, nicht die Filmdatierung!) gelistet. Also hast du dich irgendwo verguckt, berücksichtigt wurde der Film schon im richtigen Jahr.

Ich habe sowohl bei Filmtracks als auch MMUK als auch IMDB nachgeschaut; diese drei haben HtWWW unter 1963 gelistet (http://www.imdb.com/Sections/Awards/Academy_Awards_USA/1964). Ich bestreite nicht, daß es ein 1962er Film ist, ich weiß nur nicht, warum er dann nicht für die 1962er Oscars (sprich mit Verleihung 1963) berücksichtigt wurde.

Die offizielle Oscar-Seite zeigt das Jahr der Veröffentlichung an; Return of the King wird als 2003 gelistet, mit der Zeremonie in 2004. HtWWW läuft unter 1963 als Filmdatierung!

EDIT: Der Film kam 1962 in England raus, aber erst im Februar 1963 in den Staaten!

Ich will nicht deine Meinung kritisieren, aber ich kann überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen, wie man "Pearl Harbor" und "The Last Samurai" mit aufzählen kann, dafür aber "The Thin Red Line" weglässt.

Es würde mich interessieren, was deine Gründe dafür sind.

So richtig spezifische Gründe gibt es eigentlich nicht. Wie gesagt, es ist mehr eine Favoriten- als eine Bestenliste.

The Thin Red Line ist haarscharf an einer Nominierung vorbeigeschlittert, #6 in 1998. Dieses Jahr war sowieso ein gutes, was Filmmusik betraf, und die fünf von mir nominierten Scores stehen einfach höher auf meiner Beliebtheitsskala. 2003 war ziemlich mau, weswegen Last Samurai mit auf die Liste kam. Und Pearl Harbor...yup, die Wahl zu verteidigen ist schwer, deswegen mache ich mir gar nicht die Mühe.

Wenn es Dich beruhigt: The Thin Red Line ist ohne Zweifel einer der besten Scores, den Zimmer jemals geschrieben hat. Sehr unterschiedlich von seinen "normalen" lauten Scores, und im Film wirkt er Wunder.

Ich gebe zu, daß mein System nicht wirklich logisch oder konsequent ist, aber darum geht's mir auch gar nicht.

Wie wärs denn, wenn wir für jedes Jahr 'ne Umfrage hier im Forum machen, wer nach Meinung der User jeweils den Oscar hätte gewinnen sollen. Die Frage ist nur, wieviele Auswahlmöglichkeiten es dann gibt, bei freier Texteingabe artet sowas ja wahrscheinlich nur in riesige Diskussionen aus. Im Cinemusic-Forum hab ich sowas mal aufgezogen, da war es aber nicht wirklich spannend, weil jedes "Jahr" nur 8 Leute gevotet haben.

man kann ja mal klein anfangen. 2000 bis heute. Das sind überschaubare sieben Jahre. Mit den realen Nominees oder eigene Wahl?

Eigene Nominees, sonst wäre es ja langweilig.

Hier mal mein Vorschlag für Regeln:

Alle können 5 Scores vorschlagen, und die fünf mit den meisten Stimmen würden dann als Auswahlmöglichkeit in der Umfrage landen. So könnte man das jednefalls aufziehen. Ausschlaggebend für das Jahr sollte am besten der IMDB-Eintrag sein - der kann zwar mal falsch sein, aber dann haben wir eine einheitliche Datengrundlage.

Nominiert werden können alle Musiken für Kinofilme, inkl. rejected Scores.

TV-Filme sollten ausgenommen werden.

Vermutlich wird nur wieder das Problem entstehen, dass sofort bestimmte Leute zum Protest anheben, da einige aus einigen Jahren nur ein paar Scores kennen und deshalb ja keine Ahnung hätten, ihre Stimmen also Quatsch wären.

Was nichts daran ändert, dass ich die Idee gut finde. Dieser Thread, sollte ja auch ein bisschen in so eine Richtung gehen.

Edit: Was wäre eigentlich, wenn man nur eine Hand voll Scores aus einem Jahr kennen würde, jedoch nicht jeden für nominierungswürdig hält. Könnte man dann einfach weniger als fünf aufzählen?
