Erstmal auch von mir ein "Alter Schwede - Fleissig".

Aber den Kritikpunkt vom Bernd muss ich auch aufgreifen. Mir geht dieses "Egal wie gut - hauptsache und trotzdem dagegen" nicht nur in diesem Fall mächtig auf den Senkel. Wenn es denn bei sachlicher Kritik bleiben würde, aber einfach aus Prinzip "keinen Award" gönnen" find ich Kindergarten, sorry. Nichts gegen dich, Büli, aber deine von Bernd zitierte Begründung halte ich für unangebracht und höchst unsachlich.

Und das sage ich in erster Linie als Bay- und nicht als TF-Fan.

Ich fand seine Rolle psychologisch irgendwie wesentlich interessanter als Javier Bardems Killer-Portrait. Ich finde auch, dass da die größere Leistung dahintersteckt (Bardem musste einfach "nur" extrem böse sein, Affleck hatte da wesentlich mehr charakterliche Schattierungen abzudecken).

Eine gescheiterte Existenz am Rande der Gesellschaft, einfach beeindruckend gespielt. Außerdem die einzige Nominierung für diesen grandiosen Film - muss gewinnen.

BEST ORIGINAL SCORE

"3:10 to Yuma" (Marco Beltrami)

IMO der originellste, interessanteste Score unter den Nominierten. Beltrami hat es verdient.

BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY

Robert Elswit für "There Will Be Blood"

Roger Deakins´ Kameraarbeit in JESSE JAMES ist zwar auch sehr edel, aber die Bildsprache in THERE WILL BE BLOOD ist schlicht und ergreifend atemberaubend. Wie hier allein durch die Kameraführung solch eine teils unerträgliche Spannung aufgebaut wird, hat mich zutiefst beeindruckt. Oscar für Mr. Elswit!

BEST EDITING

Christopher Rouse für "The Bourne Ultimatum"

Eine mindestens ebenso beachtliche Leistung, solche extrem rasanten Verfolgungsjagden wie in diesem Film sinnvoll und spannend zusammenzuschneiden. Einen vergleichbar dynamischen Filmschnitt gab es lange nicht mehr in einem Actionfilm.

BEST ART DIRECTION

Jack Fisk und Jim Erickson für "There Will Be Blood"

SWEENEY TODD wäre hier die Alternative, aber das spröde, bedrohliche Produktionsdesign in THERE WILL BE BLOOD hat mich noch etwas mehr beeindruckt. Einen Oscar für Jack "Man in the Planet" Fisk, bitte. (Lynch-Spezis wissen, was gemeint ist...)

BEST COSTUME DESIGN

Colleen Atwood für "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street"

Eine Augenweide, insbesondere die Kleider für Helena Bonham Carter.

BEST VISUAL EFFECTS

Scott Farrar, Scott Benza, Russell Earl und John Frazier für "Transformers"

Dürfte klar sein.

BEST SOUND

Scott Millan, David Parker und Kirk Francis für "The Bourne Ultimatum"

Was hier auf der Sound-Spur los ist, ist der helle Wahnsinn. Klasse gemacht. (Was da jetzt der große Unterschied zu "Sound Editing ist, weiß ich ehrlich gesagt nicht, von daher würde ich den Leutz auch gleich noch den anderen Oscar geben... )

BEST ANIMATED FEATURE FILM

"Ratatouille" (Brad Bird)

PERSEPOLIS war mir zu trocken, SURF´S UP zu dumm, von daher RATATOUILLE. War aber auch wirklich ein sehr schöner, an alte Disney-Zeichentrickfilme erinnernder, warmherziger Film. Der Oscar ginge hier schon in Ordnung, finde ich.

Mich freut es sehr für Tilda Swinton! Den Oscar hatte sie längst verdient (mindestens seit ORLANDO).

Auch erfreulich: Der Kostüm-Oscar für ELIZABETH - THE GOLDEN AGE.

Pirates war imo zu voll, zu überlaufen (im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes). In der Kategorie hätte es imo Transformers sein müssen.

Der Kostümoscar war wirklich verdient. Der Film ist ne Augenweide.

Sehr gut auch die drei Oscars fürs Bourne Ultimatum, vor allem nachdem der Schnitt so oft kritisiert wurde.

Und Gott sei Dank hat keiner dieser zuckersüßesten Disney-Songs das Rennen gemacht. Fürchterlich die Dinger. Ich glaube den Film hätte ich nicht überstanden. Dafür fand ich den Gewinner umso besser.

@Fredi: Du nimmst dir das ganz schön zu Herzen. Ich hab jetzt nicht diebisch gelacht als Golden Kompass gewonnen hat. So wichtig ist die Kategorie ja auch nicht.

Von Bourne Ultimatum bin ich obwohl ich so getippt habe mehr als überrascht. Erstaunlich das man da noch überrascht werden kann.

Insgesamt aber alles eher unspektakulär abgelaufen. Die werden stetig schlechter. Und insgesamt auch sehr ausgeglichen. Juno hat leider für das Drehbuch bekommen. Ich kann nur sagen der Film hat bei den Oscars eigentlich nix verloren...

Dito. Der Film war ein kläglicher Versuch einen "hippen" Independant-Film mit vielen "coolen" Referenzen an die jetztige "Teenagerkultur" (orangene TicTacs und Slushie-Getränke, also bitte, wie tief kann ein Film noch sinken ). Und Ellen Pages Charakter war einfach nur nervig.
