Anscheinend wird nun doch schon für Men In Black III gedreht

Today brings photos of Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Emma Thompson, and Nicole Scherzinger on the set of Men in Black III. James Brolin, Jemaine Clement, and Rip Torn also star, with Gemma Arterton, Alec Baldwin, and Sharlto Copley rumored for small roles. The plot reportedly revolves around the villain Yaz (Clement) travelling back in time to assassinate Agent Kay, which sets off a chain of events that will destroy the Earth.

The sequel started filming this week in advance of a May 25, 2012 3D release. Hit the jump to see the images.

Nothing too revelatory (Thompsons MIB agent will wear a black suit!), save for maybe Scherzingers Leia-esque hairstyle. But this is Day 2. Well get the juicy looks soon enough. Im excited to see Clement in costume as the extraterrestrial Boris, though perhaps the more interesting aspects of his character design will be added in post-production.

A couple of casting stories for you this evening. Following the news that Barry Sonnenfelds Men in Black III wont be resuming production for another month due to script issues, Alice Eve has been cast in the flick. Deadline reports that she will play the young version of Emma Thompsons character. The plot of the film involves Will Smiths character traveling back in time to team up with a young version of Tommy Lee Jones character (played by Josh Brolin) to, obviously, save the world. The 3D film is slated for May 25th, 2012.

Es hätte mich ja auch gewundert, dass sie erst im Herbst anfangen den Film zu drehen, wo sie ihn im Sommer in die Kinos bringen wollten ... Post-Produktion wird auch ein paar Monate brauchen.

Also wird es eine art Back to the Future oder was? Warum muss man eine Geschichte immer derart verändern??? Wird dem ersten und zweiten Teil sicher nicht gerecht werden...

3-D hat seinen wahren Nutzen offenbart.Michael Bay war gezwungen sein Kameragewackel einzuschränken für TF3 ansonsten ist es nicht mehr anschaubar. Aus dem gleichen Grund hat Battle:Los Angeles auf 3-D verzichtet...um heftig wackeln zu dürfen.

Dracula kommt zurück, aber ich glaube ein wenig deftiger als in so manchen Vampir-Film derzeit, denn kein Geringerer als Dario Argento verfilmt den Mythos neu und hat nun bekannt gegeben, dass Rutger Hauer Van Helsing spielen wird

Rutger Hauer has reportedly been cast as Van Helsing in Italian horror icon Dario Argentos upcoming Dracula 3D. Per Twitch, Hauer is the only thesp currently attached to Argentos project which is scheduled to begin production in May of this year. Although the quality of Argentos output has, in my opinion, noticeably declined of late, the undeniable influence of previous works such as Deep Red and Suspiria means that I will most likely be giving his Dracula 3D a fighting chance.

As for Hauer, the 67 year-olds career has recently received a boost due to roles in films such as The Rite and the ultra-violent throwback flick Hobo with a Shotgun [check out Matt's resoundingly positive review from Sundance 2011 here]. In spite of my reserved feelings about Dracula 3D, matching Hauers ever-reliable on-screen presence with Argentos taste for experimentation could result in a worthy entry into the trials and tribulations of Count Dracula.

Mit dem Tod von Debra Hill vor ein paar Jahren düfte auch für Carpenter das Kapitel "Snake Plissken" abgeschlossen sein, waren doch Spiele, Comics und mehr geplant, aber mit dem Ableben von Debra Hill ist das alles nie verwirklicht worden.

"Darkchylde" könnte da schon eher für Carpenters Comeback sorgen, vorausgesetzt, er macht den Film wirklich...

Kevin Costner ist nun beim Superman Reboot dabei

Die Vorbereitungen von Zack Snyders Superman-Reboot "The Man of Steel" schreiten voran, die Gerüchteküche brodelt: Kaum wurde bekannt gegeben, dass der Engländer Henry Cavill ("Die Tudors") den stählernen Vielflieger Clark Kent spielen wird, kursieren auch schon Vermutungen, wer in weiteren Rollen des Films auftauchen könnte. Um die Rolle der bösen Kryptonierin Ursa sollen sich angeblich Alice Eve ("Zu scharf, um wahr zu sein"), Ex-Bond-Girl Rosamund Pike ("Stirb an einem anderen Tag") und Diane Kruger ("Unknown Identity") streiten. Nun ist ein weiterer Akteur ins Spiel gekommen, den sicherlich nicht viele auf der Liste hatten: Kevin Costner.

Die Karriere des ehemaligen Starschauspielers ("Der mit dem Wolf tanzt") könnte einen kleinen Aufwind gut vertragen. In den letzten Jahren ist es nämlich bis auf ein paar Ausnahmen ("Mr. Brooks", "The Company Men") sehr ruhig um den Ex-"Robin Hood" geworden. Noch wird gerätselt, welche Figur Costner im Superhelden-Epos übernehmen soll. In Frage käme Supermans leiblicher Vater Jor-El (einst von Marlon Brando gespielt) oder Daily-Planet-Herausgeber Perry White. Wie aus Hollywood-Kreisen verlautet, gilt aber als sicher, dass die Wahl auf Supermans Adoptiv-Vater Jonathan Kent fallen wird.

Zack Snyder will den Kinogängern eine modernisierte und tiefgründigere Version des Urvaters aller Superhelden präsentieren, wie er es zuvor schon mit seinen Comic-Adaptionen "300" und "Watchmen - Die Wächter" geschafft hat. Der Film, der von Christopher Nolan ("Batman Begins", "The Dark Knight") produziert wird, soll 2012 in die Kinos kommen.

Chris Columbus dreht wieder

Chris Columbus has signed on to direct a remake of the Korean box-office hit Hello Ghost. The film centers on a man who tries to kill himself, but survives and becomes haunted by four ghosts. The ghost won’t stop haunting the man until he helps them fulfill a wish. If this premise gives you a flashback to the 1993 Robert Downey Jr. flick Heart and Souls, you’re not alone.

Columbus tells Deadline that he’s a fan of Korean cinema after he saw Hello Ghost, he “was immediately struck by the film’s ability to mix comedy, drama and complex emotional themes. Its strong universal storyline translates to any culture, and I’m looking forward to bringing a version of this wonderful story to the English-speaking audience.” So if Columbus comes to your door and hands you a copy of Heart and Souls, you’ll know why.

It looks like Paramount is in the mood for a good old fashioned soap opera flick. And by good old fashioned, I mean a remake of that one soap opera movie. Paramount is getting the ball rolling on a remake of the 1991 comedy Soapdish and theyve hired actor/writer Ben Schwartz the write the screenplay. The original took place behind the scenes of a daytime soap opera and featured an all-star cast that includes Robert Downey Jr., Kevin Kline, Elizabeth Shue, Teri Hatchter, Garry Marshall and a pre-daytime TV personality Whoopi Goldberg.

THR reports that Allen Greisman, who was one of the producers of the original, is on board to produce the remake alongside Rob Reiner. Schwartz has appeared in The Other Guys and Parks and Recreation, and is responsible for writing some episodes of Robot Chicken and Hugh Jackmans opening number for the 81st Academy Awards, for which he won an Emmy. Schwartz is also working on Would You Rather? with producer Brian Grazer for Universal and will next been seen as an actor in the family comedy Peep World.

Apparently its 90s remake day. We previously reported that a remake of the comedy Soapdish is in the works, and now it looks like Warner Bros. is working on a remake of the 1992 romantic-thriller The Bodyguard. The original, of course, stars Whitney Houston as a famous singer and Kevin Costner as the Secret-Service agent tasked with protecting her from a dangerous stalker. As you well know, the two become romantically involved and Houston gets all dramatic insisting that she will always love Costner.

Deadline reports that Jeremiah Friedman and Nick Palmer, whose action comedy Family Getaway ended up on last years Black List of the best unproduced screenplays, will script the flick. Apparently this version updates the love story, turning the Costner-character into an Iraqi war veteran whose first job back on US soil is protecting Houstons star character. This modern take will show how the world of Twitter, Google Maps and TMZ has made access to celebrities easier than ever, providing some much needed social networking drama to raise the stakes, since most social networking services arent at all inherently stalkerish. This is WBs second music-driven remake in the works, with Clint Eastwood set to direct Beyonce in a remake of A Star is Born.

Hier mal ein "First Look" auf den neuen Film von Terence Malick

FilmNation Entertainment have released a first look still of Rachel McAdams and Ben Affleck in Terrence Malicks upcoming romance drama. The as-yet-untitled film stars McAdams, Affleck, Javier Bardem, Rachel Weisz, Olga Kurylenko, Jessica Chastain, Charlie Baker, Amanda Peet and Barry Pepper.

No word on when itll be released, but its unlikely to hit until 2012 at the earliest.

If you cant wait until 2012 for your next Malick fix, then fear not, the long-delayed The Tree of Life will be released in the Summer.

Die vielen Remakes interessieren mich nicht die Bohne ... wenn ich mir die Filme anschauen will, dann liebe die ORIGINALE!!! Gilt auch für Superman!

Regisseur Patrick Lussier ("Drive Angry") und Drehbuchautor Todd Farmer sollen für Dimension Films die Neuverfilmung des Horrorfilms "Hellraiser" übernehmen.

Dimension Films wird damit die Produktion für das schon länger geplante Remake wieder aufnehmen. Clive Barkers Originalfilm "Hellraiser" aus dem Jahr 1987 handelt von sadistischen Dämonen, die einen Zombie quälen, der aber wieder aus der Hölle zu entkommen versucht. Eine Besetzung ist noch nicht bekannt

Habe ich nie gesehen ... brauche ich auch nicht, weder Original noch diese neue Fassung. Der Score zum zweiten Teil ist das Beste was uns Young je komponiert hat!

Der Film war damals fast schon revolutionär, wenngleich auch durch seine explizite Gewaltdarstellung umstritten und in Deutschland immer noch indiziert. Ein Meisterwerk des modernen Horrors, selber schuld, wenn man sich den entgehen lässt...
