With neither family nor ties, Largo Winch maverick ladykiller, adventurer, rebel and fighter finds himself, aged 26, at the head of a global business empire.

Nerio Winch is dead. The billionaires body was found floating just a few yards from his yacht. This drowning appears suspect because the victim is the founder and majority shareholder of the W Group, an empire employing 400,000 people around the globe. The renowned businessman had no family. Who will inherit the group? This question panics the W Groups board. Without their boss and figurehead, they are incapable of ensuring the companys survival as it is already under attack from all sides on the worlds financial markets. However, they are unaware of Nerios great secret. A son adopted almost thirty years earlier in a Bosnian orphanage and raised in total secrecy by a family of fishermen on the shores of the Adriatic. A certain Largo who, for now, is rotting in a prison in the depths of the Amazon. Even though he claims to be innocent, the young man is accused of drug trafficking.

Nerios murder. Largos imprisonment. What if these two events were part of a single plot designed to seize control of the Winch empire?

Tomer Sisley stars as Largo in this most expensive French production ever. The international cast being rounded out by Kristin Scott Thomas, Karel Roden, Gilbert Melki and Benedict Wong.

Alexandre Desplat (The Queen) contributes a James Bond-ian action score, full of adventure and intrigue.

LARGO WINCH begins an international rollout in France on December 17.

SEVEN POUNDS reunites Academy Award nominee Will Smith with the director and producers of The Pursuit Of Happyness.

Ben (Will Smith) is a distraught IRS agent tormented by events in his past. Seeking resolution, and even salvation, Ben sets out to find seven strangers whose lives he can impact in a positive way. Along his journey, he meets and falls in love with Emily (Rosario Dawson) one of the very people he had charged himself with helping. As it turns out, Emily may indeed be able to bring more to Bens life than he anticipated or even imagined. Amid Bens increasingly complicated relationships, he also befriends a blind pianist (Woody Harrelson), who offers Ben further insights on life itself.

The emotional score featuring two powerful choral pieces is by newcomer Angelo Milli.

Columbia Pictures opens SEVEN POUNDS on December 19.

Oscar-winning director Ron Howard brings to the screenwriter Peter Morgans (The Queen, The Last King of Scotland) electrifying battle between Richard Nixon, the disgraced president with a legacy to save, and David Frost, a jet-setting television personality with a name to make, in the untold story of the historic encounter that changed both: Frost/Nixon. Reprising their roles from Morgans stageplay are Frank Langella, who won a Tony for his portrayal of Nixon, and Michael Sheen, who fully inhabited the part of Frost onstage in London and New York.

For three years after being forced from office, Nixon remained silent. But in summer 1977, the steely, cunning former commander-in-chief agreed to sit for one all-inclusive interview to confront the questions of his time in office and the Watergate scandal that ended his presidency. Nixon surprised everyone in selecting Frost as his televised confessor, intending to easily outfox the breezy British showman and secure a place in the hearts and minds of Americans.

Likewise, Frosts team harbored doubts about their boss ability to hold his own. But as cameras rolled, a charged battle of wits resulted. Would Nixon evade questions of his role in one of the nations greatest disgraces? Or would Frost confound critics and bravely demand accountability from the man whod built a career out of stonewalling? Over the course of their encounter, each man would reveal his own insecurities, ego and reserves of dignity ultimately setting aside posturing in a stunning display of unvarnished truth. Frost/Nixon not only recreates the on-air interview, but the weeks of around-the-world, behind-the-scenes maneuvering between the two men and their camps as negotiations were struck, deals were made and secrets revealed all leading to the moment when they would sit facing one another in the court of public opinion.

The striking, minimalist score featuring piano and cello is from Oscar winner Hans Zimmer (The Lion King).

Universal Pictures opens FROST/NIXON in limited release on December 5, then nationwide on December 26.

Auf LARGO WINCH bin ich mehr als gespannt. Auch auf den Film... Vielleicht wirds ein besserer Max Payne. Die Games waren gut und ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, das Desplat da einen guten Score hinlegt. Der Mann hat bis jetzt nicht enttäuscht.

Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich so etwas mal schreiben würde, aber die 4 Tracks Frost/Nixon von der Universal Awards-Seite machen tatsächlich ein bisschen neugierig auf die CD. Könnte der interessanteste Zimmer-Score seit langem werden.
