Based on the life stories of the eccentric aunt (Jessica Lange) and first cousin (Drew Barrymore) of Jackie Kennedy (both named Edith Bouvier Beale aka Big and Little Edie) raised as Park Avenue débutantes but who withdrew from New York society, taking shelter at their Long Island summer home, Grey Gardens. As their wealth and contact with the outside world dwindled, so did their grasp on reality. They were reintroduced to the world when international tabloids learned of a health department raid on their home, and Jackie (Jeanne Tripplehorn) swooped in to save her relatives.

Academy Award-winning composer Rachel Portman provides the poignant score.

HBO will premiere GREY GARDENS on April 18.

Léa has educated the spoilt and callow boy in the ways of love, but after six years Madame Peloux has secretly arranged a marriage between Chéri and Edmée (Felicity Jones), daughter of another rich courtesan. As the inevitable moment of parting approaches, Léa and Chéri try to come to terms with their imminent separation, but the roots of their life of ease and pleasure reach deeper than even they imagine and they begin to understand, too late, how much they mean to one another. CHÉRI is the latest film from Oscar-nominated director Stephen Frears (The Queen, The Grifters).

The sumptuous score is by Oscar nominee, Alexandre Desplat.

CHÉRI will begin an International rollout across Europe this April, and will arrive in U.S. theatres this June.

auf fast and furious freu ich mich. der dritte teil war schon klasse und ich hoffe der 4. schlägt in die gleiche kerbe. es wird zwar bestimmt wieder der typische tyler-action score sein, aber irgendwie mag ich seinen stil. na mal sehen.

aehhh ja, will ja jetzt nicht wieder ne hetz-diskussion anzetteln oder so, aber David Arnold ist schon ne ganz andere liga als Tyler. Auch wenn 2 Fast 2 Furious nicht sein bestes werk ist, ist es qualitativ mindestens mit Tylers musik fuer den dritten gleichzusetzten.

Ich konnte den Film auf der Berlinale leider nicht sehen, habe aber gehört, dass sich das gemeine Publikum sehr wohlwollend gegenüber der Musik geäußert hat. Das heißt normalerweise, dass sie erstmal relativ prominent gemischt war, aber ich bin dennoch optimistisch.

Du hast Recht, David Arnold hat einiges mehr drauf als Brian Tyler, doch in der Fast and the Furious Serie hat Tyler einen interessanteren vor allem aber einen unterhaltsameren Score abgeliefert.

Varese übertreibt massiv bei fast allen Beschreibungen seiner CDs, dass ist nichts Neues ... bei dem Satz: "Brian Tyler, who composed the best score of the franchise for Tokyo Drift" muss ich Varese aber zustimmen.
