DENNISMcCARTHY.COM announces the release of THE NEW TWILIGHT ZONE MUSIC FROM THE TELEVISION SERIES, featuring music composed for several episodes composed by Dennis McCarthy for the second incarnation of the popular television anthology series created by Rod Serling.

THE NEW TWILIGHT ZONE is the popular nickname for the 1985 revival of THE TWILIGHT ZONE, Rod Serlings acclaimed television series from the 1950s and 1960s. It officially carried the same title as the original show, running for two seasons on CBS before producing a final series for syndication. THE NEW TWILIGHT ZONE attracted the talents of a number of filmmakers who were all eager to make a contribution to a series with such a long legacy. This included writers such as Harlan Ellison, George R.R. Martin, Rockne S. OBannon, Jeremy Bertrand Finch, Alan Brennert and directors such as Wes Craven, William Friedkin and Peter Medak.

For THE NEW TWILIGHT ZONE, Dennis McCarthy provided music for four episodes of the series, VOICES IN THE EARTH, A ROAD LESS TRAVELLED, THE LIBRARY and QUARANTINE. Music from these four episodes are presented here on this release of THE NEW TWILIGHT ZONE MUSIC FROM THE TELEVISION SERIES.

Dennis McCarthys roots in the music business began as arranger/orchestrator for Glen Campbell and composer Alex North. He was also musical director for THE BARBARA MANDRELL SHOW. In addition to his work on television series such as V and STAR TREK, he has written music for MANCUSO, FBI, LIFE STORIES, MACGYVER, PARKER LEWIS CANT LOSE, TINY TOONS, STARGATE SG-1 and PROJECT: GREENLIGHT. He has also written music for television movies such as GONE TO TEXAS, SWORN TO SILENCE, LEONA HELMSLEY: THE QUEEN OF MEAN, DADDY, Danielle Steeles KALEIDOSCOPE, OVERKILL and the HBO movies, LETTERS TO A KILLER and BREAST MEN. He has scored feature films such as McHALES NAVY, THE UTILIZER, DIE, MOMMY, DIE and CRIMSON HIGHWAY. In addition, Dennis has composed music for THE STAR TREK EXPERIENCE in Las Vegas as well as music for the STAR TREK: BORG video game.
