Study scores of my last piece "The Lost Child"

Hi!

I made 4 different arrangements of my piano piece "The Lost Child and thought it would be interesting to share them here. I put the original piano part at the bottom of every score for comparison.

Hi André,

nice arrangements ! I personally like the piano and cello version

the best, but that's personal taste (although the combination

of piano and cello always is a smasher).

I think the orchestral number would be good comercially

marketable.

Will you may in future have the possibility of playing with

an real orchestra ?

Hi Marcus!

Yes, I got an email 2 days ago of an orchestra in America that is able to use it on a concert in February next year. But I had to change the score a little bit because they are playing Mendelssohn's violin concerto and if I could use the same score instruments, they want to use it. So I had to take out the harp and celesta, snare drum and Bass Drum, the trombones and tuba. It's a nice classical setting now.

Tell, do you reinsert the missing Trombones in

the Bassoon parts or did you orchestrated it

in a complete new way?

I put the trombone parts in the horns instead and the original horn parts in the trumpets. I can put up the score if you like to see it.

I notice by now that it's better to change things then to be to tight to what I really want, it's much better to get somethiing performed!
