Wird anscheinend ein 10-CD-Set zur Serie. Die Gerüchteküche bei FSM kocht schon seit Anfang März und im September kommt die Serie auf Blu-ray raus.

 

Das Lost in Space Set ist schon seit Wochen über das Gerüchtestadium hinaus, Lalas MV Gerhard hat es offiziell bestätigt. Es würde sich vor allem lohnen, wenn sie die Originalaufnahmen der Williams-Scores auftreiben konnten. Die später aufgenommenen Library-Versionen sind schon viel dröger und lethargischer.

The first up comes from the mid-2000s. An exciting score to a effective thriller composed by one of the most prolific composers working today. It's one of the ones that got away.

The second has some interesting history. This late 70s film had a soundtrack album planned. It was even assembled and some copies pressed. These were packed in a white sleeve and given away as a promotion at some event, perhaps the premiere. I wasn't there, so I'm going off memory. But in any event, the album was never further commercially pressed. Now it makes its premiere on CD. We were not able to include the vocals that were on the LP master, but the composer had nothing to do with them, so this better showcases his score. Strange film, but top notch score by the composer. Oh and the cover art -- not so much to work with, so don't let it put you off!

 

Der zweite Titel ist wohl David Shires Old Boyfriends und somit erfreulicherweise schon die dritte Shire-Veröffentlichung in diesem Jahr.

Das schaut so ein bischen wie die Dritt- und Viertverwertung in der Grabbelkiste meines Edeka-Marktes aus. Keine Ahnung, was BSX sich dabei gedacht hat (bin kein Kognitionswissenschaftler), auf jeden Fall überflüssig .

Ok, für 249$ bekomme ich also dieses 6 CD-Set dazu noch Eintrittskarten und bisschen Tinnef. Wow, das ist wirklich "historisch". Selbst das CD-Set allein für 119$ ist die Sache nicht wert.

In Abwandlung an Martins: I have a dream........i just had a nightmare. Von dem Blödsinn geht die Welt nicht unter aber ganz egal wie Townson es anpreist: das ist Varese Resterampe und einem solchen Label an sich nicht würdig. Andererseits auch kein Weltuntergang
