Nachdem MV letztes Jahr davon sprach, dass die beiden Scores zu den GHOSTBUSTERS-Filmen wohl 2014 erscheinen würden, da beide Filme runden Geburtstag feierten, passierte dies dann doch nicht und man hörte auch nichts mehr davon. Jetzt hat MV klargestellt, dass beide Scores zumindest nicht von LLL kommen werden.

 

As for Ghostbusters it's a bust for us. We tried our hardest though.

Maybe someday they will come out.

Zum BATMAN & ROBIN Release:

 

Habe mich gestern mit Dan Goldwasser getroffen (einer der größten Freaks, im positiven Sinne, den ich je getroffen habe). Wir haben über anstehende Projekte geredet ... BATMAN & ROBIN ist leider nicht dabei. Aber er würde sich wünschen auch an den bald heran zu kommen.

 

Danke für die Info. Früher oder später wird es sicherlich klappen.

 

In Sachen LLL hier noch ein wenig "Ausblick":

 

It's kind of an odd month with the first being on a Friday and our next release being next Tuesday. We only have 2 release dates in May, but 3 in June...so June will be a busy month.

We are still waiting on a number of titles to get the final sign off on. Some of you have noticed that our catalog numbers are all over the place. That's due to some titles (a few that were supposed to come out in 2014) taking some time to be signed off on for one reason or another.

LLLCD 1333 - waiting on studio approval (Golden Age Classic)

LLLCD 1335 - waiting on production company approval (even though we have the record label and studio singed off on this one). Missed the anniversary last year. Very frustrating.

LLLCD 1350 - waiting on actor/director/producer approval, then studio and record company approval. MEGA HUGE IMPORTANT RELEASE!!!!!

So, we have thousands and thousands of dollars tied up with these projects and have no product to show for them yet. It's the part of this biz that can nearly break one's spirit, but we keep on truckin'.

Vielleicht endlich mal Leonard Rosenmans REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE in der Originaleinspielung.

 

LLLCD 1335 - waiting on production company approval (even though we have the record label and studio singed off on this one). Missed the anniversary last year. Very frustrating.

 

Müsste man mal Scores von 1954, 1964, 1974, 1984 und 1994 durchgehen, die eine schicke (Wieder-)Veröffentlichung verdient hätten. Oder von 1989, wenn es ein 25th Anniversary gewesen sein soll (spontaner Gedanke: Kamens LICENCE TO KILL Expanded?).

Mir würde sogar ein klangbearbeiteter und erweiterter Score zu Teil 1 noch mehr gefallen. Aber Lost World Expanded wäre schon eine schöne Nummer.

Folgendes von MV zum Williams-Release

 

 

I can say this right now:

Stanley and Iris is controlled by Varese in perp (I think Pressumed Innocent is as well)

Saving Private Ryan is so near complete it's not worth doing

JFK is pretty much complete. It was an odd score to record being that it wasn't scored to picture. It may happen some day, but I honestly do not know how to approach it.

How much music is there left from Sleepers? Tibet? Geisha? Enough to warrant an expanded release?

UME controls the JP scores. We tried but they didn't want to relinquish rights at the time.

On June 1 you will find out what it is

tibet geisha und sleepers brauch ich nicht expanded... geisha hab ich so schon nicht mal... tibet ist toll, aber reicht vollkommen wie er ist und sleepers fand ich überwiegend sehr langweilig

 

schade um JP 1 und 2... wobei beim ersten ja nich viel fehlt... da reicht das normale Album (zumal man den doch nun wirklich in und auswendig kennt)

Also dann würd ich auf BORN on the FOURTH of JULY, PATRIOT oder WITCHES of EASTWICK tippen.

Letzterer wird es wohl erstmal nicht, da Perseverance die Lizenz innehält. PATRIOT wär der Lohnenswerteste, da viel Musik fehlt, BOTFJ musikalisch der Beste, allerdings ist das Album quasi perfekt mit seinen suite-artigen 25 Minuten (Rest sehr repetitiv) - es wird also wahrscheinlich BOTF. 

 

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ist am Ende aber der wichtigere Score, der als neu abgemischte 2-CD Fassung wirklich sein muss. Dem Vernehmen nach hat aber auch GEISHA stundenlange recording sessions generiert, da fehlt sich auch viel und da hat er sich auch wirklich Mühe gegeben.

Aber klar. Die Potter-Scores könnten auch mal komplett erscheinen. 

Würden sich auch bestimmt besser verkaufen als die Scores der "kleinen" Filme.

Am Dienstag, den 12.05.2015, gibt es von Intrada wohl einen kompletten JUDGE DREDD sowie RETURN TO OZ:

 

I'm posting clues a day early beacuse we might reveal one title a littler earlier and I didn't want to encroach on those that like the clue game. For those that don't like the clue game...why are you reading this?

Okay, one title comes from the dead center of the 90s and is a massive epic sci-fi score now expanded to fill two CDs. Interestingly the score was recorded twice, once in London and then again in the US. The program on the original CD was taken from the London sessions that weren't even in the film.

The second title is a gem. Coming from the dead center of the 80s, it's been a particular crusade for me to restore this beauty because the original LP program's mix did not include a lot of sweeters - timpani, triangle, xylophone, harp, etc. Not to mention all that great unreleased music! It's all here, greatly expanded on this 2-CD set.
