We are very proud to announce the release of LIncorrigible / The Incorrigible (1975), directed by Philippe de Broca (a long-time collaboration over 30 years) and Va voir maman, papa travaille / Your turn, my turn (1978) directed by François Leterrier. These two soundtracks are available for the first time on CD in expanded editions with a new sequencing and a new sound mixing.

For this first project, we worked closely with Colette Delerue who allowed us to use the original master tapes. This new sound material gives the opening credits of The Incorrigible a magnificent rendition like never before !

Fortunately we laid hands on some unreleased tracks.

For The Incorrigible, we discovered a demo of the love theme Tendre Marie-Charlotte (track 16) with Georges Delerue playing the piano.

For Va voir maman, papa travaille (Your turn, my turn), the music had been released on vinyl and coupled with two other titles of Georges Delerue (Milady a television movie by François Leterrier and Le jeu du solitaire). The previous edition only lasted 15 minutes. The CD offers now a more complete 30-minute score. As it was often the case in the French cinema in the 70s, the movie does not contain so much music. We put all the score recorded at that time, giving a new fresh listening.

The idea of combining these two soundtracks was a good way to propose a wide panel of Georges Delerues style on the same CD : Lieder, pastiche of Baroque, pop, electronic music, melancholic themes on piano and guitar. Their appearance on a single disc is a definite bonus.

Frédéric Gimello-Mesplomb wrote the booklet for this brand new album. He is an assistant professor in cinema at the University of Metz and the author of several papers about theme music, among which a biography : Georges Delerue, Une Vie (1998) and the collective work Analyser la musique de film (BOD Editions, 2010).

We hope that Georges Delerue fans will be pleased with these two complete soundtracks in this brand new limited edition of 1000 copies.
